Dear Colleagues,
"Happy New Year." It gives me immense pleasure and honor to write this Presidential message for the Journal of Interdisciplinary Dentistry.

The development of inter professional collaborative competencies requires moving beyond discipline-specific educational efforts to engage students and dental professionals of different disciplines in interactive learning with each other. Comprehensive, scientific and technological advances and the desire to seek knowledge in the Dental field has guided our struggle to initiate the ISPRP association in 2007, procuring an inter-disciplinary approach for more precision, faster and comfortable treatment with a predictable outcome. Today for the first time in this part of the world, we witness an integrated association of three specialties.

I rejoice in presenting to you a few novel ideas of this association. One of its kind are Scientific Deliberations at the National Conferences. The intermingling of the major specialties of Dentistry provide a platform to share ideas collaboratively about research, knowledge, experiences, perception, and wisdom with colleagues through extensive case discussions, workshops, and essay competitions. The Journal of Interdisciplinary Dentistry is a victory of the association and admits hardships with global outlook. I am happy to say that this journal is unique and contemporary in nature which is dedicated to document current trends and approaches in all three facets of Dentistry. In the years to come, I sincerely hope this journal will be included as pub med indexed journal.

The Sixth ISPRP Conference held at Bangalore added a position and encouraging facet to the existing glory of scientific events. We are looking forward for the forthcoming Seventh Conference to be held on 24 th August 2014 at Bhopal-City of lakes, with a theme "knot to kalon."

I take this opportunity to thank the Founder members of the association, mentors, senior colleagues, and esteemed members, for being a part of the association and placing an explicit trust in me. The editor in Chief Dr.Kundabala and her team is to be congratulated for their magnanimous contribution to our specialty by communicating to all the members.

Behind the success of any association, coherence and coordination is very necessary. I urge you to enroll colleagues, especially the younger generation, in the membership of ISPRP so that we can make this association stronger.
"One of the important functions of prayer, I believe, is to act as a stimulus to creative ideas. Within the mind are all the resources required for successful living"-APJ Abdul Kalam.

I pray and hope that we will have every success in the association for the year ahead.

Jai Hind,

With Kindest Personal Regards,
